Quick Orecchiette With Pesto

  • 1,5 pound orecchiette pasta (you can use any kind of pasta)
  • 1/2 pound grape tomatoes
  • salt

For the pesto:

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 garlic glove
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • salt


  1. Cook the pasta for the length of time recommended on the packet.

  2. In a small pan without oil roast the pine nuts over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.

  3. After that combine the basil, garlic, roasted pine nuts and a little bit salt in a food processor or blender and pulse until the ingredients are coarsely chopped. With the processor running, slowly pour the olive oil and process until smooth. 

  4. Slice the grape tomatoes in half and put them into a large bowl.

  5. Add the cooked orecchiette and the pesto, season with salt and mix it up.
